Today

This Little Piggie went back to school.
and this Little Piggie stayed home.

This Little Piggie has a Birthday.

and this Little Piggie already did.

And these Little Piggies will celebrate later at home!
Happy 6th Birthday Little Pumpkin

Feel Better!

Kitchen Counters

but first some other random pictures i just cleared from our camera

care package treats
We have our Roxy girl back.

She's keeping Jacob's feet warm.

Is it awful that I asked Ben if I could take his picture as pitiful feeling as he is?
It helped that I had some ice cream from Sam's bday treat.
He's definitely improved just in the last 12 hours.
He'll still have to miss school tomorrow . . .
oh his birthday.
2nd year in a row
I didn't even ask him to smile but he was trying to.

Here you go grandparents
Since it didn't work out for ya'll to enter & eat
with us afterall Sunday,
here's a peak at our kitchen.
Just a few more things to do.
We'll have to wait for the microwave & range to bite the dust
before trading them in for black.
Except for that we need to change out some hardware & lighting.
Maybe that will be done before you get here.
We have seating for everyone!
I'll post pics of the play room & living room next time.

Today

FOR TODAY Saturday October 24 . . .
from the simple woman's daybook

Outside my window . . . fall breezes are entering

I am thinking . . . how much we still need to do around our home. we're running out of time to decorate for halloween.
I am thankful for . . . our "pleasant place", our sweet boys, this season

From the kitchen . . . everything is ready to pop in the crock pot for some yummy family lunch tomorrow ~ yay for visits from grandparents

I am wearing . . . jeans & a t-shirt

I am creating . . . a big ole mess in my craft room in an effort to organize & get ready for some real crafting

I am going . . . crazy trying to figure out what our almost 6 year old would love. he is so hard to buy for! He doesn't even want to have a bday party

I am reading . . . "Songs of the Humpback Whale"

I am hearing . . . the leaves rustling in the breezes
Around the house . . . things are coming together. one thing at a time. one room at a time. Pictures soon.

One of my favorite things . . . Pumpkin Whoopie Pies from Trader Joes

A few plans for the rest of the weekend: get Jacob well, keep Ben well, enjoy a fun family lunch with grandparents

Here is picture for thought I am sharing

now you see our priority for getting settled into our home!

Progress

It's hard to blog in the midst of a move. It's even harder when we don't have internet in our new home. But we came to the skammers for a break so here's a quick run down ~

We're taking on 1 task at a time and 1 room at a time. We have amazing friends who enjoy painting . . . whew! We have mattresses for us all to sleep on, food for meals, a great yard & cul de sac for them play and friends for them to play with.

We received Roxy's new collars at our new home. hopefully later this week we will have Roxy too. we were hoping to go pick her up today but decided it wouldn't be good for her to be around w/ all the painting we realized that we need to do.

The master bedroom, boys' room, & play room are ready for furniture and the living room gets a couple coats of paint today. It's so hard to be patient with the process.

The boys will ride the bus for the first time this year on Monday and they are excited. It will actually be Ben's first time ever!

Alright back to the "process"!
